Optimal Geomatic employs the state-of-the-art ASCOT aerial navigation system for all aerial photography. This computer commanded system is pre-programmed before the aerial mission for precise exposure management. The ASCOT system programs each photo exposure in the precisely desired position. The ASCOT flight management program compensates for variances in flight conditions such as variable ground speeds. If deviation from the programmed mission occurs, the aerial camera is automatically disengaged to prevent unwanted exposures.
