ARC Info/GIS Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for digital production of topographic and planimetric detail, data bases, GIS layers, tabular data, orthophotography, and files translation for the production of GIS Base-mapping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·          Understanding project specifications, standards, and workflows.

·          Identifying processes, which adversely affect quality and quantity; recommends solutions.

·          Participates in Project Kickoff, Interim Project Reviews (IPR), and Quality Assurance Programs.

·          GIS data creation, editing and quality control.

·          Digital image processing for GIS applications.

·          AML and related script development and applications.

·          System preparation, Project Layout, and Design.

·          Writing digital media and plotting.

·          Digital cartographic editing of topographic and planimetric features.

·          File translation, conversion, and manipulation.

·          Ensures digital media and related source materials are archived and properly stored.

·          Maintains project specifications and related files.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·          Supports management concerns.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

·        2 Years experience with Microstation or ARC/INFO Digital Data

·        Some college preferred but not required with above experience
