CAD Position
JOB SUMMARY:
Processes
and edits geospatial information, digital vector layers, raster ortho-imagery, and related
cartographic data in support large-scale mapping projects. Ensures compliance with
established standards, technical directives, and client requirements. Applies
specifications, standards and quality assurance procedures in all efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Complying
with project specifications, standards, and workflows.
·
Creating
and editing digital topographic, planimetric, and cartographic features.
·
Processing
digital images for geospatial applications.
·
Identifying
processes which adversely affect production; recommends solutions.
·
Creating
digital elevation models (DEM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), and related digital surface
(contour) data.
·
Writing
digital media, plotting, file translation, conversion, and manipulation.
·
Ensuring
digital media and related source materials are archived and properly stored.
·
Maintaining
progress reports, and related records.
·
Supporting
management concerns.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
·
High
School Graduate.
·
Technical/DOD
School (preferred).
·
College
Graduate (2 or 4yr) - Survey, Mapping, Geography, GIS, CS, or CADD (preferred).
·
Microstation,
CAD, GIS, and image processing software applications experience.
·
Aerial
photo interpretation and map reading skills.
·
Ability
to operate PCs, related technical equipment and software.
·
Binocular
20/20 correctable vision with either glasses or contact lenses. Color vision, depth perception, and positive
hand/eye coordination. Full range of motion
of hands, arms, fingers, and thumbs. Prolonged
sitting for up to two hours straight.

for overtime day/evening/weekend.
